On this page I will post tips, news and other information. By subscribing you will receive notification of new posts (your email will never be shared). My intention is to grow this site organically based on the needs of clients and community.

Of Change and Development

Odds are you changed in 2011 – did your website keep pace?

Some food for thought:
doing the work
> review your website’s home/opening page – is it sending out the message you intended?  Does it still fit with your philosophy? Are the images and information up to date?

> look at and read all the internal pages of your website – are they up to date? are they necessary? are you missing important information?

> are the images on your site current?  Out with the old, in with the new.

> if you have a gallery are the images named and described?

> when you are involved with a special event or workshop  how do you get the information out to your customers?

> is the contact information up to date?

> has your blog kept pace with what you are doing?

> write/reflect on your body of work

> update website copyright to 2012

The added bonus of having a website is that it makes you look at your work in a different way. By having to consider your work from the viewpoint of a visitor to your site and write about it, you might discover something about your process. It is also a good way to chronicle your artistic development.

For anyone with a website or considering one – educate yourself in the basic terminology  and site set up. Do make sure that your site is backed up, kept up to date and give people a reason to return.

We can get technical -  If you have any questions you would like answered here please email them to me.  – Deb Clay
